Pooja Jatyan, a para-archer, made history by becoming the first Indian to win silver in an individual section of the Para World Championships in Dubai, UAE. She was defeated in the final by Italy's Patrilli Vincenza and had to settle for a silver medal. India's campaign ended with two silver medals, a first for the country.

For the first time, India won two silver medals at the Para Archery World Championship. Shyam Sundar Swamy and Jyoti Baliyan, a compound mixed pair, had previously opened India's account by winning a silver medal.
