The Henley Passport Index 2021, which ranks the world's most powerful passports, has been released. The number of countries that grant visa-free travel to holders of these passports determines their placement in the index.

What is Henley Passport Index ?

The Henley Passport Index is the first and most authoritative assessment of all passports in the world, based on the number of countries to which their holders can travel without a visa. The index is built using unique data from the International Air Transport Association (IATA), the world's largest and most accurate travel information database, as well as research by Henley & Partners.

Henley and Partners is in charge of compiling the index. It is a global citizenship and residence advice firm situated in London. The Henley Passport Index claims to be the first ranking of passports around the world. It includes 227 places and 199 passports in all.
