The Director of AIIMS has been awarded the 22nd Lal Bahadur Shastri National Award for Excellence.

  • The AIIMS Delhi Director, Dr. Randeep Guleria, has received the 22nd Lal Bahadur Shastri National Award for Excellence. Guleria received the award for his pioneering and long-term contributions to medicine and pandemic awareness. He was dubbed "commander-in-chief" of India's committed army of frontline troops by Vice President.
  • The Government of India has bestowed Maharatna status to the state-owned Power Finance Corporation (PFC). The government's faith in PFC's critical role in the overall development of the electricity industry, according to the Union Minister, is reflected in the business being granted 'Maharatna' status.
  • PM Modi has unveiled PM GatiShakti, a multi-modal connectivity master plan. The project is estimated to cost Rs. 100 lakh crores. It will overcome previous shortcomings by institutionalising stakeholders' holistic planning for big infrastructure projects.
Outside the Sole System, Earth receives radio waves.
  • Signals from planets outside the Solar System were picked up by the Low-Frequency Array (LOFAR). In the Netherlands, LOFAR is the world's most powerful radio antenna. With the use of LOFAR, the researchers have been exploring planets and have discovered signals from 19 distant red dwarfs for the first time.
