Justice Indrajit Mohanty takes the oath of office as Chief Justice of the Tripura High Court.

  1. On October 12, 2021, Justice Indrajit Mohanty took his oath as Chief Justice of Tripura High Court at Raj Bhavan in Agartala. Satyadev Narayan Arya, Governor of Tripura, administered the oath
  2. As the 6th Chief Justice of the Tripura High Court, Justice Indrajit Mohanty succeeded Justice Akil Kureshi. Before being named Chief Justice of the Tripura High Court, Mohanty was a Judge of the Rajasthan High Court.
In India, for the first time, a liver was reused and transplanted into a fresh recipient.

  1. A liver was successfully reused and transplanted in a fresh recipient for the first time by specialists at a Delhi hospital in India. The new recipient's liver is operating normally.
  2. The liver was first transplanted in a patient who was declared brain dead a few days after the operation. Following this, the decision was made to re-use the liver on a new recipient in order to save another life.
Domestic flight operations will resume on October 18th, according to the Aviation Ministry.
  1. The Civil Aviation Ministry has declared that scheduled domestic flight operations will resume on October 18, 2021, with no capacity restrictions.
  2. The decision was made after the Ministry reviewed the existing state of scheduled domestic operators as well as passenger demand for air travel.
