1-A Master’s degree in public health, or advanced degree in a related field
2-Minimum of 10 years of experience in designing, implementing, and managing large, complex projects of a similar nature.
3-At least 10 years of experience managing donor-funded HIV/AIDS or other health programs.
4-Proven professional experience working with host country governments and counterparts, international donor organizations, civil society, and private sector is highly desired, preferably to implement HIV/AIDS programming.
5-Strong experience designing, implementing, and managing HIV/AIDS and health systems strengthen projects, including HIV prevention, testing, care, and treatment services.
6-Experience managing PEPFAR-funded projects.
7-Strong understanding of and experience working with key populations—including people who inject drugs, transgender/Hijra, men who have sex with men, and female sex workers—and their families preferred.
8-Broad understanding of HIV/AIDS service delivery in India
9-Strong management skills, strategic vision, leadership qualities, professional reputation, ability to create synergies, interpersonal skills, and written and oral presentation skills to fulfill the diverse technical and managerial requirements of the project
10-Proven record of developing and maintaining strong and effective partnerships with ability to negotiate and influence policy and project decisions with senior government and donor officials.
11-Substantial experience with CDC and US government rules and regulations
12-Professional level of oral and written fluency in English
13-Previous experience in South Asia is strongly preferred; experience in India is desired.
