Job Overview
The Assistant Recruitment Manager will assist in executing a student recruitment strategy that targets international students seeking U.S. university degrees. The role includes managing a regional network of recruiters, schools, and universities that drive enrolments to Shorelight’s university partners.  This position will report to the Recruitment Manager.

Essential Functions

  1. Execute Shorelight’s university partners’ student recruitment strategies, partnering with the Recruitment Manager and Shorelight’s Global Marketing Team for all marketing and advertising strategies
  2. Help manage key channel accounts and partnerships to achieve enrolment targets for all university partnerships
  3. Maintain a data-driven approach to recruitment, monitoring enrolment trends and reporting on all phases of recruitment process to the Recruitment Manager
  4. Maintain maximum levels of competitor awareness, product knowledge, and market intelligence
  5. Travel extensively to attend recruitment and outreach activities, seminars, conferences, meetings, and training events to build strong and lasting relationships with current and prospective students, families, faculty, staff, agents, partners, and other external institutions and vendors
  6. Execute efficient and streamlined processes for all stages of the recruitment process with a strong focus on conversion of inquiries to applications
  7. Work with the university liaisons to ensure smooth entry of our students into the school or program.

Qualifications

  1. Bachelor’s degree, preferably in marketing, communications, business, international relations, or related area
  2. 2+ years of experience in the international education/recruitment industry in India
  3. Strong sales and account management skills
  4. Proven track record of working collaboratively in a matrix governance model
  5. Strategic-minded and sales-driven, with strong drive for results
  6. Ability to work successfully in a fast-paced environment while remaining pressure-resilient
  7. Proficient with technology and reporting programs/systems
  8. Excellent communication and presentation skills
  9. Exemplary customer service skills and ability to foster a customer service ethic within the work team
  10. Willingness to travel extensively in the assigned region
  11. Eligibility to work in the hiring location without sponsorship

Preferred Qualifications

  1. Existing network within the education industry in their region strong working knowledge of key international markets, programs, and products
  2. Experience with U.S. higher education
