About 
TYPF is looking for communication and campaigning manager to join our team full-time. We are looking for someone with 2-3 years of experience who is familiar with communications strategy development, social media management, digital campaigning, and on-ground campaign implementation and management. Your job will be to project TYPF’s vision and identity across all external-facing platforms with a team of 2 coordinators, and develop and roll-out issue-specific campaigns including the Know Your Body, Know Your Rights Campaign, while contributing to strategic organizational growth.

The salary scale for this position varies between INR 45,000 – INR 55,000, commensurate to experience.

Your Responsibilities: Communications: 

The Manager is responsible for profiling our work and its impact, as well as highlighting our values and the principles with which we work. The Manager will work with a team of 2 Coordinators to:
1-implement TYPF’s communications strategy, inclusive of monitoring and evaluation, to enhance TYPFs relationship with external audiences, partners, media, and donors 
2-ultimate TYPF’s youth leadership and knowledge building online through regular engagement and communication on issues that are relevant to TYPF’s work – including current affairs and developments in youth/feminist/queer/human rights movements 
3-Develop issue-specific social media campaigns, manage TYPF’s website and curate TYPF’s social media platforms • Develop and disseminate internal publications such as newsletters and programmatic IEC material
 4-contribute to the development of TYPF’s research through copy-editing, proofreading, and liaising with design consultants

As a team leader, you will be further expected to mentor the communications team, monitor and contribute to growing their leadership, and ensure setting and completion of communication goals. Since communications require regular and extensive work with a range of consultants, you will be further expected to cultivate these relationships for the long-term benefit of the organization. 

Advocacy:
Public advocacy will be a significant part of the Communications Manager’s role. This will involve regular digital campaigning and a national-level campaign on Comprehensive Sexuality Education which runs on-ground with more than 10 community-based organizations. The Manager will -
1- Lead and implement the national level KYBKYR campaign 
2- Develop campaign strategy, methods and tools in close coordination with the KYBKYR Programme Manager, Policy Engagement Team, and Executive Director 
3- Network and build collaborations with partner organizations 
4- Monitor, document and evaluate campaign operations 
5- Manage campaign due diligence processes and grant reporting 
6- Tracking campaign and communications finances and filing monthly expenditure reports. 

Eligibility

1-2-3 years of overall work experience, with preferably at least 2 years’ experience in campaigning and/or communications in a development sector.
2- Experience in working with young people is a definite plus.
3- Demonstrated experience in developing and managing communication campaigns with diverse stakeholders using multi-media platforms including social media.
4- Demonstrated experience in writing press releases, research papers, annual reports, marketing literature and other print and web based publications.
5- Fluency in both Hindi and English, with a high level of proficiency in both and in terms of writing and speaking, as well as the ability to effectively engage with diverse stakeholders both within the organisation and without. 
6-Since most of our work takes place online (Slack, GSuite, Salesforce, Hootsuite, etc), we are looking for a high level of familiarity with online systems and software, including social media management systems.
